announced that the San Francisco Department of the Environment has awarded
charter bus services contract to El Camino Lines for the educational programs
it offers to all the schools in the San Francisco Unified School District
(SFUSD)
The San Francisco Department of the Environment offers a variety of educational
programs to the middle- and high-school students in the SFUSD schools to make
them more aware and conscious of their environment and the efforts and projects
undertaken by the Department of the Environment for a cleaner and healthier
environment.
“We are proud to have been selected by the Department of the Environment and for
the opportunity to serve our community,” said Michele Twers, Director of
Customer Relations, El Camino Lines. “Our exemplary on-time performance and
safety were the key factors in Department of the Environment in selecting El
Camino Lines as their charter bus service provider third year in a row.”
“The Charter Bus Industry has a key and significant role to play in dealing with
environmental issues related to carbon fuel emissions. Group transportation
provided by the Charter Bus Industry for groups of more than 20 people has been
proven to be cost-effective and environmentally friendlier than smaller groups
traveling in their private automobiles,” added Mr. Graf. “We at El Camino Lines
applaud and will continue supporting the goals and objectives of the Department
of the Environment in making our environment cleaner and healthier for the
current and future generations.”
