SAN FRANCISCO, CA – August 16, 2006 - El Camino Charter Lines, DBA El Camino Trailways, San Francisco-based Charter Bus company providing charter bus services to the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 40 years, today announced it has been selected by Amtrak to provide daily bus service from San Jose to Stockton, California.
"We are delighted to begin a second Amtrak Thruway contract, based on our safe and reliable operation of San Francisco to Stockton service. This new service between San Jose and Stockton will anchor our Silicon Valley charter service expansion begun earlier this year", said Michele Twers, El Camino Trailways Director of Customer Relations. "This new contract is a validation and reward for our hard work on Amtrak's behalf."
The new service involves operation of three buses on a daily basis, with multiple stops connecting CalTrain, Ace, and other commuter stops between the Amtrak stations in Stockton and San Jose.
